Decking increases value of houses |

A well designed and implemented decking area on a house will usually increase the value of the property by at least the value of the decking. In a recent poll of Estate agents it was suggested that because wooden decking is considered aesthetically pleasing by most people it will invariably cause the price of a house to rise. Obviously there is a limit to how much decking and how much one might spend. But as long as it looks right then its probably a good investment. |

When asked what made people "feel happy" one of the top 100 answers was walking on boardwalks or decking with bare feet. And it's true. Try it! The sensation of walking on wood makes us think of good times like holidays and summer. It's a tactile thing! |
Decking - RIP - We think not! |

In 2002 the Director of the Chelsea Flower Show, stated that Decking had had its day and almost seemed to celebrate the fact that it was not much featured in the show of that year. It seems that that particular opinion was wrong because Decking continues to be one of the most poular features being added to gardens to those who want to create something a little bit special. Decking today, as opposed to that used several years ago, now tends to be accompanied with decorative gravel areas and nearby water features as opposed to stand alone plain decked areas. In our experience the Decking exactly taking the snub from Chelsea very seriously. |
